Angels in Pink:Raina's Story by Lurlene McDaniel

Significance- This is significant because it is about a girl and her best friends who are all very different, but stay together because they are all different. They have way different personalities, different issues in their lives, and different points of view. This one is about Raina(it is a series about all of them like Holly's story or Kathleen's Story). Raina's mom has a family secret and finally decides to tell Raina. It is a life altering secret and Raina feels betrayed. This doesn't always happen to teens. But throughout the book there are all kinds of things that regular people go through and have to deal with. And anyone who reads this book can relate to it.
Perspective- If I wear to explain this to a third-grader then I would say that when youi become a teen-ager, you have alot of responsibilities and some times people don't like to handle those responsibilities. And then there becomes and issue. Maybe your responsibilities is to take out the trash. If you don't then the trash is full and it stinks up your kitchen and someone else has to take it out and they might get angry becasuse you were supposed to and then there is conflict. Those things happen more the older you get. But you also have more freedom. And not only do kids make those mistakes but adults too. In the book Raina's mom kept a secret from her. Something that would totally change her life. So her mom was lying to her and that made Raina feel very sad and angry.

Evidence- The author didn't make any argument.

Connection- This connects to my life because these girls make so many mistakes and they are really clumsy like me. I am most like Kathleen because she is really shy and down to earth and modest. Not so much about what goes on in her life though.

Supposition- The world would be the weirdest and unhappiest place if no one ever made mistakes or kept secrets. The world would be perfect but we would not know that it was because we would necer know what a mistake was. So to me the world would not be a very happy or good place to live. Because we would not know what sadness was so when we were happy we would not realize it because we never felt sadness or anger or diappointment. We would just feel the same every single day and not know what it was. And that would suck.

There is always something that needs evidence to support it. Maybe it is your thoughts that need to be supported.
